Get hands-on with soil biology, diversity, and real-world insights you can take back to your farm.
We’re excited to share that Dr. Jill Clapperton will be heading to Alberta this August to participate in two engaging, in-person events hosted by Farm Forward. Whether you’re a farmer, agronomist, or just curious about the science behind healthy soil, these events are a great opportunity to learn directly in the field.

Event 1: Step into Soil Health – A Pasture Walk with Jill Clapperton
📅 Tuesday, August 13
Join Jill for a hands-on pasture walk exploring how diversity—both above and below the ground—impacts soil structure, root health, forage quality, and resilience.
You'll learn how to spot signs of soil health and understand the critical role of mycorrhizal fungi in building thriving systems.

Event 2: Boosting Soil Health with Diversity & Biology
📅 Wednesday, August 14
Start your morning with a hearty breakfast and a tour of local demonstration plots.
This event dives into the use of biological inputs and mult-ispecies mixes to improve soil function and reduce the need for synthetic inputs.
Jill will be stepping into soil health again at this event, sharing science-based insights and practical observations to help farmers make better decisions from the ground up.
