Formerly known as Tasting Terroir, the show is growing into a new name and a bigger mission
We’re excited to announce a new chapter for our podcast. What began as Tasting Terroir is evolving into something more expansive and mission-driven—The Jill Clapperton Podcast.
Why the change?
Because Jill Clapperton’s work, passion, and public conversations are growing. As a leading soil scientist and founder of Rhizoterra Inc., Jill has spent her career uncovering how soil health drives everything from plant resilience to food flavor to human well-being. And now, she’s expanding that lens.
Key Themes of The Jill Clapperton Podcast:

We will continue exploring the vital relationship between soil and taste—but also go beyond it. You’ll now hear wide-ranging conversations on:
Farmer and community health
Collaboration across the food supply chain
How science and storytelling can help rebuild our food system
Through interviews with scientists, regenerative farmers, nutrition experts, chefs, and food system leaders, Jill will bring her scientific expertise to help connect the dots between soil, people, and planet.
And don’t worry—Tasting Terroir is not going away. That name will live on as a recurring segment within the podcast and as a label for curated clips and conversations focused on the connection between healthy soil and flavorful, nutrient-dense food.
This new name reflects what the podcast has become: not just a tasting journey, but a platform for transformation.
Because at the root of it all is our mission at Rhizoterra: building healthy soil for a healthier world.
